Description
This is my design sketch of Fenrir, the son of Loki from Norse mythology.
It's for
's original project '4th Havoc'. He's one of the three main 'creature' villains that 4th Havoc fights during the mid-part of the first story arc.
Brent does battle with this icy foe of the frozen north. Fenrir's smart-ass persona and feral battle skills make him a tough contender! Watch out for his frigid flame attack, and severe beast mode, complete with energy coat!
In Norse mythology, Fenrir was one bad muthatrucka. He was a giant wolf that was so powerful not even the gods could stop him! They commissioned the dwarves to forge chains that could contain him, but the first ones didn't cut it. Then, they created a ribbon made from some very special (and hard-to-get) materials.
The sound of a prowling cat.
The beard of a woman.
The roots of a mountain.
The sinews of a bear.
The breath of a fish.
And the spittle of a bird. *Cough!*
Not over-the-counter stuff. Poor Tyr lost his hand trying to trick Fenrir into donning the ribbon. In the end he succeeded, and Fenrir will be trapped until the end of the world, known in Norse mythology as Ragnarok. Fenrir has so much badditude that during Ragnarok he'll break free from the ribbon and wreak havoc on the gods. Odin's a goner, but eventually Valis will save the day and slay Fenrir. Go Valis!
How do those Norse guys know all this stuff?
I tried to incorporate as many different things from the legend as I could into Fenrir's design. I'm not sure I like how overt Tyr's hand is on the chain. What do you think?

Looks fierce! His look is just as I imagined it would. Though, truthfully, I imagined his hair to be a bit longer, but oh well I like it this way too. Besides he has enough of it on his body. hahaha.
I also like how he's carrying two items that represent his past. The ribbon which is still latched onto him, and Tyr's hand that he keeps at a trophy. Nice. The beast mode looks like a wolf and a wolverine and the pic at the bottom still tickles me. XD I can't wait to see what his color design is.
